20 kW + Solar Thermal

The 1922 building had been devastated by fire, so all roofing had to be rebuilt, allowing for more creative planning for a white roof and solar collectors. The 20 KW is a genuine Solyndra system that lies flat so it is not visible from the street – historic designation of the building precluded the option (at the time) to use the standard style of panels. We used solar tax credits and the Solar Currents program – net meter the system to DTE and pre-sold the RECs to DTE. The solar project was completed in 2010.
